A little about me…
Before moving to Lake Country, I spent most of my adult life in Calgary. While still having a professional life, I had a strong connection to the non-profit world. Some national programs, some grassroot, all near and dear to me. My passion is service, which is something I learned from my parents– the cliché immigrants from India, who came to Canada with the simple idea that their kids could have a better life. Their message to me was always to work hard and be good to people. That’s it. Simple. And so, for the past 46+ years, I’ve tried to live a life of service, a life of kindness and a life of gratitude.
Moving to Lake Country, it didn’t take very much time for me and my family to fall in love. Not just the scenery, not just lifestyle, it was the people. I learned very quickly that no matter the politics, we have each other’s back. And I couldn’t be happier to be here.
And because of all this and more, I would like to try to give back in the best way I know how… to serve.
In my current profession, I’m tasked with looking at inefficiencies in systems and/or process that impact the bottom line and finding ways to improve on them. I feel that I can take this skillset and apply it to the Councillor role in Lake Country.
I look forward to many more conversations and helping move Lake Country forward.
